NEW WATERFORD:

  • Ken MacKillop sought an update on his suggestion at the last meeting about the Corporation giving serious consideration to joint sponsorship in local fitness centers. Dave Fillmore will check to see if there is any potential program available from the Corporation. If there is potential then it was agreed that a survey would then be taken among all employees to determine collective interest.
  • A letter carrier is requesting an additional relay box be installed on his route. This carrier has submitted medical documents to the facility Lead Hand describing lower-limb problems. He suggests that one more relay box will help to alleviate his problems. An investigation will ensue to include:
-- Confirming weather or not the current route structure meets route measurement standards.
-- A sample survey of the actual weights of the carriers' pm portion of his route.
-- Confirmation that the route is being done according to structure.
-- Local Area Manager Dave Fillmore and facility Supervisor Jay Duguid will address this matter.

SYDNEY:

  • New forms called "Letter Carrier on-route Health & Safety Checklist" still to be copied and distributed for Letter Carriers use.
  • Dave Fillmore to check with Fleet in Halifax to see if there is any procedure in place to waterproof or cover the cloth seats in the Corporate Mobile vans to preclude continuously soaked seats after rain or snow.
  • There is no plan for a nurse to be on site in the Sydney area. The newly appointed nurse can be reached as follows:
