NORTH SYDNEY:
- Regarding the new "Home Depot" catalog flyer,
members are asking if any special carts will available for delivery thereof.
- An inside "man" door was recently removed and a
question has been raised as to whether this door will be re-installed. Brian Pottie
advised that there were on-going employee requests to have the door left open or removed
to preclude the Supervisor being constantly isolated from the daily work floor activities
and Health & Safety concerns.
- The issue with some employees wanting the radio turned on
throughout the day and some not wanting it turned on was elevated to the Local Area Manger

accordingly.
- Andrew is asking if we shouldn't consider changing the
entrance/exit signs to match the current traffic flow to and from the dock area.
SAIR REPORTS:
#42130 - Employee was on annual leave and went to his
Doctor, returning with a note saying he was off because of work related injury. There is
an issue with some of the reporting time frames and as a result the Supervisor is

over-extending his left knee. Recommend reminders about vigilance.
GENERAL:
- The issue was raised again concerning street furniture being
knocked over by vandals. Lew Palmer reminded everyone that there is a "Street
Furniture Re-design Project" in process for the Atlantic Region addressing 16 issues
including vandal tip-overs. Please see the attached memo from Terrence MacDonald to
multiple Departments.
- Some facilities claim they did not receive a copy of the area
